Who am I? And the next great book.

My chavrusah told me that he is reading a book and is fascinated by it. The book describes few energy types. Immediately i wanted to read it and after not long the book ended up in my hands.

The title of the book is ‘Who Are You, Really?: Understanding Your Life’s Energy’, and is written by Gary Null. There are seven energy types: 3 dynamic, 3 adaptive and one creative.

Dynamics are charismatic and they think on their own.

Adaptives need the leadership of others and they are under influence of dynamic types.

Creatives are most classic artists, doing a lot of analitycal thinking. They have deep imagination and emotional life. They tend to be not dealing with their lives best way.

Every type has it pros and cons and high and low end - development. It’s very important to say that one type isn’t any way better than the other. Every person can grow into amazing person. How do I know? Somebody in yeshivah told me that kabbalah also describes people types in the same way and few people in chumash epitomize different types. David is Dynamic Aggressive, Joseph is Dynamic Assertive, Aron is Dynamic Supportive, Jakob is Creative Assertive, Izak is Adaptive Aggressive, Abraham is Adaptive Assertive and Moses is Adaptive Supportive.

Acc. to the author man in early stage of his life experiments with different energy types and one of them becomes his main type. Unhealthy, from outside, attempts to make somebody behave and develop not in accordance with his particular energy type is called conditioning and results in unfulfillment in life.

After reading the book I realized why I was always different than others and couldn’t find common language with everyone. I’m somewhere something between two types. It gives me insight into myself and others. It explains so much! Everybody should read it.

Also after a time you get your own understanding of the types and you can add your own descriptions.

PS. I also have two personalities (simply speaking two) and they fall into two different types.
