so it’s all after…

i said i won’t write through elul. so it’s after rosh hashanah, and even yom kippur… and even the whole of sukkos.

all this was very intense time. the truth is that my life in eretz isroel is much more intense than in poland. that’s probably beauty of holy land.

few days before rosh hashanah rav Brevdah (his website), who happens to be amazing, spoke in the yeshivah. He said two very amazing things. First: on rosh hashanah it’s decided wether somebody is ben olom habo or not entirely habo (being positive, as we all should be). Who are you, that’s the question, what’s the focus this world or the next one.

Second is the proof which reb Chazkel gave: the story goes: rav Brevdah in his relative youth with other american bochrim begged rav Yechezkel to give them private shmoose. at the end he agreed. he said: ‘only mitzvos and maasim tovim count’ nice we know that already (if somebody is interested in knowledge instead of making it part of himself), but my point here is, he continued ‘i will prove you that even non jews believe in that…
